Rules & Scoring

The format

48 teams, 12 groups (A–L). Top two from each group plus the eight best third-placed teams advance to the Round of 32. Single elimination from there to the Final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium.

How predictions work

• Pick a score for every match — group stage and knockouts.
• Predictions lock at kickoff. Late entries score zero.
• Predictions are scored against the 90- or 120-minute result (extra time included, penalty shoot-outs ignored). A draw is a valid prediction even in the knockouts.

Base points per match

1. 5 points — Exact score (e.g. you predict 2–1 for France against Romania and that's the final score).
2. 3 points — Correct winner and correct goal difference, non-draw (e.g. you predict 2–1, actual is 3–2).
3. 3 points — Draw correctly predicted but wrong score (e.g. you predict 1–1, actual is 2–2).
4. 2 points — Correct winner only, wrong score and wrong GD (e.g. you predict 2–1 for France, actual is 3–1 for France).
5. 0 points — Wrong winner.

Round multipliers

Points get more valuable as the tournament progresses. This is by design — players who fall behind in the group stage can still climb back into contention by picking knockout rounds well. Nobody is mathematically eliminated until the Final whistle.

Extras (no points, just bragging rights)

None of these change anyone's score — they're the side game. There are two kinds:

• Recognitions shift between players over time. Only one person at a time can hold each.
• Badges are permanent — once you earn one, it's yours forever, and any number of players can have the same badge.

Recognitions (transferable)

🔥 Streak — the count of consecutive finished matches where you scored above zero. Miss a prediction or score zero, and the streak resets. Tooltip on the leaderboard shows your best streak ever.

🥇 Daily MVP — the player who scored the most points on the most recent match day. Rolls over each match day.

🦗 Cricket King — held by whoever has predicted the most 0–0 results across matches that have already kicked off. A 0–0 pick is a perfectly valid prediction — it just takes nerve to make. We only count picks once they're locked, so the leaderboard for this recognition reflects committed bets rather than tentative ones. Whoever has the most locked 0–0 predictions holds the recognition.

🥶 Coldest — held by whoever is currently on the longest stretch of 0-point or missed predictions (minimum 2). Goes away as soon as you score a point.

🪑 Wooden Spoon — held by whoever is currently last on the leaderboard. Moves the moment someone else slips below you.

Earned by good predictions — exact scores, hot streaks, calling underdogs, picking the champion.

• 🎯 Sniper — 5 exact-score predictions
• 🏹 Sharp Shooter — 7 exact-score predictions
• 💥 Marksman — 10 exact-score predictions
• 💯 Centurion — 15 exact-score predictions
• ⚖️ Draw Whisperer — Predicted a draw on 3 matches that ended in a draw
• 🐉 Giantkiller — Picked an underdog (Kalshi ≤25%) and they won
• 🧊 Iceman — 5+ match scoring streak
• 👑 Soothsayer — Picked the eventual champion before kickoff

Fun

Mostly for laughs — earned by bad luck, bold guesses, or being last. Wear them with pride.

• 🎭 Drama Queen — Predicted 5+ goals total on a match that ended in a 0–0 draw
• 💔 So Close — Got the winner right but off by 1 goal — 3+ times
• 🍿 Spectator — Signed up but made no predictions on 5+ finished matches
• 🌈 Eternal Optimist — Picked the same team to win in 5 of their consecutive matches
